Inspiring pottery classes for young adults
Creating clay sculpture and pottery is both chill and inspiring! If you’re a young BIPOC adult between 17 and 25, join our creative pottery classes to learn and explore the art of ceramics. You’ll learn how to hand-build creative sculptures and throw pots on the wheel. We’ll also learn about ceramics from across black and indigenous culture that will inspire you to develop your own styles.
And, as we know money can be tight when you’re starting out, we’ve made this class affordable for you.
What you’ll learn
- Hand building techniques such as pinch pots, coil or slab building
- How to use the pottery wheel
- How to apply underglazes and layer glazes to create patterns and finishes

- Kiln fire clay
- Sculpting tools like rolling pins, ribbon tools, stamps and more
- Colour underglazes and glazes
