Sewing and Textile Crafts
Learn to sew or improve your skills in sewing classes taught by an experienced costume designer for theatrical productions. With classes for kids, youth and adults, join us to explore hand stitching or machine sewing.
We’ll guide you through the basics of stitch types, simple patterns, and assembly techniques, to make fun, creative and practical projects.
Step 1: Learn to Sew
Start here for the perfect introduction to learning how to sew! We’ll guide you to learn the essential hand sewing skills and techniques, including knots, stitch types and patterns.
We require that all students take our introductory class at least once to ensure they have the skills required to sew on a machine in Step 2.
Step 2: Machine Sewing
When you’re ready, join our Step 2 classes to learn more advanced hand sewing techniques and we’ll begin developing your machine skills. such as threading, stitches, buttons, zippers, and more.
Each project is designed to help build your confidence to create more challenging projects and begin developing your own ideas.
