In-person Summer Camps

Fun and safe summer camps for elementary (ages 6-10) and middle school (ages 11-14) aged kids.

Safety first, and fun!

We are serious about safety at our summer camp and we will follow the 2021 guidelines for summer camps once they’re published by Ontario and Toronto Public Health. Until then, we’ll follow last summer’s rules:

  • Redesigned studio space to give each camper and staff their own 2m2  workstation, with disinfected, exclusive use tools
  • All children and staff will be screened for symptoms daily
  • Distanced drop off and pick up procedures
  • Frequent hand washing and disinfection of surfaces
  • No visitors in the studio
  • Lots of outdoor time each day
  • Campers and counsellors will be wearing face masks all day, except during eating times
  • Our staff are experienced adult counsellors with first aid and CPR certification

Kids Camp

(ages 6-10)

Kids will have fun and learn new art skills in our inspiring in-studio camp this summer.

Our kids camp is a small group led by 2 experienced counsellors, to follow the Ontario guidelines for safer summer camp.

Campers will work on art projects in the studio most mornings and will spend most afternoons outdoors, touring our Danforth East neighbourhood for artistic inspiration and playing games in local parks, because summer is all about getting outside!

Each week will feature a different fun theme with no repeat projects!

Camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm with extended hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm for greater flexibility.

Youth Camp

(ages 11-14)

Our summer camps aren’t just for ‘little’ kids.

Our full day Leadership Camp this year will engage Tweens and Teens aged 11 – 14 in becoming leaders within their society.

The campers will be the content creators in this camp. No predetermined themes for this unpredictable age group! Our experienced counsellors will lead campers through exercises in confidence and leadership, based in art, working on topics that are meaningful to the campers.

Past projects have included silk screening our own designs on t-shirts, making recycled paper, and learning about activist artists, like Banksy.

Camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm and there are no extended hours for this age group.

Pottery Wheel Camp

Afternoon camp to explore clay

Spend a week learning how to create pottery on our wheels and try some hand-building clay projects. Learn basics of underglaze and glaze techniques.

Campers will have sole use of a wheel during pottery camp. Completed pieces will be fired and ready to pick up about 2 weeks after camp.

Spaces are limited to 4 campers per week.
