Whether you’re preparing to attend a specialty visual arts program or want to experience a variety of art styles, Portfolio Prep is the class to advance your creative skills as you learn new techniques!
You will work on developing a variety of artworks to showcase your abilities across different media. If you’re applying to programs with specific portfolio requirements, the instructor will support those projects and provide a letter of recommendation on request.

- Art essentials like colour theory, perspective and proportion
- How to talk confidently about your art through critique
What you’ll use
- Drawing materials like pencils and pencil crayons
- Painting supplies, brushes, palettes, acrylic or watercolour paints
- Mixed media supplies for collage, sculpting or printmaking
