Kids Art Camp

ages 6-10

Let us entertain your kids during their break from school with our extra fun in-studio Winter Break Camp. Campers will spend their day in our bright, welcoming studio, with outdoor time each afternoon.

We’ll make art using a variety of materials (except natural clay) – learning to draw, paint, sculpt and craft – and campers will take their creations home at the end of the week.

Camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm with extended hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm for greater flexibility.

Youth Art Camp

ages 11-14

Older kids need a fun place to hang out and create art that’s geared for their age group. Our in-studio youth Winter Break camp will inspire them to make art and intricate crafts.

We’ll also get outside each day for fresh air and games – be sure to dress for the weather!

Camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm. If a longer day is needed, our youth campers can join the kid campers for early drop off (as early as 8:30am) and late pick up (as late as 5:30pm).

What happens at Create Art Camp?

On our first morning, we spend time getting to know each other through ice breakers and stories
Each morning we share the plan for the day, so campers know what to expect
Messy art projects happen in the mornings, with a break for snack
Lunch is eaten in the studio, then we bundle up to head outside to play at local parks
After outdoor time, we return to the studio to warm up with a snack and crafts
Your child’s projects will be all packed up and brought home on the final day
Our staff are experienced, mature counsellors with first aid and CPR certification

Clay and Pottery Camps

half day camps for kids to explore clay

This Winter Break, spend a fun week working with the pottery wheel in our half day camp for youth. Join us to get creative with clay and learn the basics of underglaze and glaze techniques.

While our camp is geared towards the wheel, if campers are finding it too challenging, we will also offer handbuilding projects so they can have at least one successful piece completed. Youth campers must follow safety rules for using the equipment or they will not be permitted to use the wheel.

All materials and kiln firing are included. Completed pieces will be fired and ready to pick up about 2 weeks after camp.
