Inspiring pottery classes for BIPOC adults

If you’re a BIPOC adult, join our creative pottery classes to learn and explore the art of ceramics. You’ll learn how to hand-build creative sculptures and throw pots on the wheel. We’ll also learn about ceramics from across black and indigenous culture that will inspire you to develop your own styles.

BIPOC Pottery runs in 3-week sessions so it’s easy to try a new skill and sign up again to develop your abilities. And, as the cost of living isn’t the easiest right now, we’ve made this class affordable for you.

What you’ll learn

Hand building techniques such as pinch pots, coil or slab building
How to use the pottery wheel
How to apply underglazes and layer glazes for creative finishes

What you’ll use

Kiln fire clay
Sculpting tools like rolling pins, ribbon tools, stamps and more
Colour underglazes and glazes
